My Foundation Repair- Excavation Pictures

Here are the before and day one pictures of the stress relief trench and stress braces currently being dug out and installed behind our houses's foundation. I plan on updating it semi-weekly or semi-daily.

Hell yeah Baby! It's what ALL the kids have nowadays. It's about 2 years old. It is pretty sweet. I'm tempted to put some logos on it. I can't decide. St. Louis Blues? Make is Camo? Thorp Logo? We'll see

Damn those shelves are wack. :P

How long did the trench take for them to dig?

Trench is only one day old. Today is day two. I'm such a nerd but this shit is crazy interesting to me.

When they are done with the trench, they are putting steel bars through my foundation wall and will pull it back into place and attach the bars to a concrete "dead man" in the yard. I get 4 dead men. Should be a total mess ;-)

Those are the plates that are used as anchors attached to the long steel pole right?

Yeah, they put 18 inche by 18 inche plates on the inside of my wall and put a stell bar through that and secure it with a nut/bolt set up. Then wrench the fucker back into place.

Anyone see "Fletch Lives"?:

"These walls are deplaning to an alarming degree!"

My house isn't bolted to the foundation for some reason so the foundation has slipped under the frame of the house and I have some daylight coming in between my house fram and my foundation. It is wild.

^^^^^^^^ The house I sold last year was the same way. I guess they did that to alot of houses built in the 1950's and 1960's

You are right Clevo. They used 2x4's on the frame vs. 2x6's I think.

I did get some good news from my dudes. Our back wall is now coming back into shape now that they have the dirt/water pressure removed. Also, they didn't have to remove any dry wall in the downstairs office/bedroom. I do have 4, 2 inch holes drilled through the foundation wall. I can see outside now. It's crazy man.

I also make sure to keep the outside fridge loaded with beer, gatorade and soda. I have had each guy from the crew shake my hand and thank me for providing some drinks. This guys are so cool and work their dicks off. If some cold Gatorade makes life a little easier then man, I'm buying all day long.

it's amazing what offering someone something to drink can do for customer service.

There is an epoxy injection type of shit they jam in there. They they paint the entire wall with like a tar sealant.

BD, just ask and I'll send you pics of my rod. Ey- Oh!

Clevo- The previous owner of the house had an autistic girl. In late May they would fill up the trough (aka The SS Tetanous) with about 8 inches of water. The hose would fall out and flood our yard and theirs. The previous owner looked like Dee Snider. She was a total mess.

The little girl would hop around in the pool for one weekend and that was it. Then they would never drain it or treat it. I would throw cups of bleach in it once a week to combat the bugs. We constantly called the health department. It bred shit tons of mosquitos. When they moved out, me and two other neighbors flipped it over. That was 4 years ago. It hasn't moved.

This house next door has always been a giant thorn in the ass of the CR83 family. The people there now are from Pakistan and really never come outside or fix anything. They are nice and have moved out. It is vacant now. They also throw food in the yard. Shit like rice and curry. They act like everyone does that. It is insane.

My Boys finished up early! They finished around lunch time today. That is 2. 5 days early. I'm stoked. Everything is put back in place. I'll update the pictures when I have time to breathe from work. We are insanely busy right now

You should scap that health hazard. You could probably make some cheese with it. Cheese = money of course.
