i felt an earthquake my first night here

And it wasn't even from some hot young Greek guy. It was really short, and not all that powerful so it did kinda remind me of a couple of my ex's. The house I'm in is beautiful! The veiws, breathtaking. The beach, rocky. The goat trail I take to get into the house, very dangerous. How I have not broken an ankel yet is beyond me. Getting the luggage down was quite the task, how I'm going to get it back up, I have no clue. The cousin that I'm here with is very snobish. The little girl I'm nannying is the most stubborn, spoiled little brat I've ever seen. She constantly calls me names and touches and pokes at my tattoos. If only I didn't fear the Greece prison system so.......
This place is loaded with it's pros and cons.
pro: everyday you nap from 2-6. Everything shuts down.
Con: you don't flush any paper down the tolet.
Pro:I have my own room that is seperate from the rest of the house.
Con :bed bugs The village I'm in is about 12 houses ontop of a mountain, nothing else up this way at all. I'm surrounded by oldtimers and their donkeys. The plan as of now is to get away to Athens solo for a few days to see the sights (they do nothing touristy) and to hit up a Carcass show. Pictures will come when and if I can use my computer, I am having a hell of an experince.

The food is great. For lunch we have Greek salad which is green peppers, tomatos, onion feta and olives with oil and oregano. For dinner last night I had pastichio which is one of my all time favs for Greek food, yet it wasn't nearly as good as they make at the Greek festivals at home.

It's now 230 which means it's time for a nap. So far this is my favorite part of this experience.

I know I'm in the minority, but that sounds like a miserable time to me. I'd wanna know where the closest McDonalds and Hertz rent-a-car was!

I think you'd like the pasticho, and I know you would love the naps.

Trust me, I would LOVE a big mac right about now, but I kinda feel like I'm on a 30 day challenge/detox from all the crap I eat. It sucks, but I'm sure I'll lose weight which will make it worth it........
Till I get home and jump back into my old swing of things.

I would love to see Greece. So much interesting history there. Don't forget to pay tribute to Athena while in Athens, it is her city after all.

I had some spinach pie the day I landed, I got to say, I make it sooooo much better. This was super crunchy, I make mine with lots more of everything including butter so it's kinda mushy and horrible for ya, but yummy as hell.

Oh, and tonight for supper we had a pizza, loaded. I was told this was going to be the best pizza I've ever had. No way, I'll still take little 5 points in Atlanta anyday.

So a loaded pizza in Greece consists of mushroom, bacon, ham, green peppers, tomatos and some really yummy creamy cheese. Don't get m wrong, it was good, just not THAT good.

Best pizza I've ever eaten was at a place in Brooklyn many years back.

So, this whole toilet paper in the trash thing is starting to drive me nuts. My plan of the day was hold my crap till we went down to the beach, that's where all the markets and restaurants are, and go in one of them. I'd rather my poopy paper hang out in someone elses trash than my own. I tried 2 bathrooms, both had no toilet seat, I guess that's their thing, not that I enjoy sitting on a public toilet, but sometimes you got to take the lesser of two evils. Either way, no sitting could be done. My dump still waited till I got back 'home'.

Fuck yeah!!!!!!!!! You will not find a public toilet with a seat anywhere, I got stuck taking a drunk shit once in one of those toilets, try hovering when your completely smashed. Also the door didn't lock so I had to prop one leg against it to keep it closed. I deserve a medal for getting that one out without shitting on myself.

That's fucking awesome!

I still manage to 'forget' sometimes and flush, but I guess the bright side of dealing with this shit, is that my room and bathroom are completly seperate from the rest of the house, there for do not have to deal with their shit. I deal with the bed bugs for that alone.

Oh, I also checked out the little town cemetary. Here what they do it stick your carcass in a box above ground for a while (not sure how long exactly) once you're nothing but bones, they stick ya in a tiny box and bury ya like that. Takes up less room.
There was a burial going on when I went so I didn't go into the actual cemetary, instead took pictures of the casket like thing that you dry up in.
