Some people are too uptight

I was out running some errands earlier and was wearing my new Sheer Terror shirt. Some couple took great offense to the back saying "Drop Dead and Go To Hell." The dad started yelling at me about how his kids had read it and it would warp their minds or something equally stupid. He got really mad when I informed him that if his kids could be mentally destroyed by reading the back of my shirt they were most likely retarded already and he should get them some special schooling. Then he started talking about how he was going to kick my ass, so I pointed out that I have about 6-7 inches and 100 pounds on him and that if he tried I would hurt him severely. Then he starts yelling at some of the people watching this display to call the police because I threatened him and he wanted me charged.

My reaction was to laugh in his face and walk away. It's moments like these that bring a genuine smile to my ugly face.

well first off I'm glad to hear you are out and about!

second, that is lame! I think it was Saint that had a story about a little kid reading the back of his shirt and repeating it in a supermarket. I wear mine at work all the time and my work is so fucked up that everyone loves it because it echos their sentaments about the place!

it amazes me how people think they have the right to get into other people's business, even for little stuff like that. instead of blaming the person wearing the shirt (in a public space, mind you), TRY FUCKING PARENTING. if you've kid questions it, explain it. simple.

also glad to hear you're out and about...and not shying away from confrontation!

Never backed down from a confrontation in my life. It's earned me a few beatings over the years, but I don't regret a thing. Some people have freaked out over some of my shirts over the years and I refuse to take shit from complete strangers for what I choose to wear.

I'm forcing myself to leave the house more just to adjust to being around (normal) people again. Plus I wanted some chips and a bottle of whiskey.

My first thought exactly. What was more detrimental to the kids, a t-shirt they read or there dad acting like a complete ass, thus teaching them to act the same way, because dad does it. People who do not think should just have their heads removed from their shoulders.
