I'd be interested...

in hearing what you guys think of the new song my band just posted. I know most of you guys can't stand metalcore or metallic hardcore for that matter, so I expect a couple harsh words haha.

Ohhhh, I love when people ask for my insults. Sorry, I can't listen from my phone (my only internet connection @ this time).

i'm afraid i don't have any constructive criticism.
it's not the type of music i sit down and listen to, but i did like it.
tapping my foot, the whole deal.

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

I have the first demo you guys did and I liked it more than I expected to, although I would definitely call the band a straight up metal band as opposed to metalcore or anything else. As for the new track, musically I dug it, but I couldn't dig the vocals at all.

Well thank you for that Mike! Did you like the vocals on the demo or didn't like them altogether? So far the response I have received have been 50/50 on the gang vocal part, most people just say it doesn't fit the song, and I can agree with that a bit others say the vocals are decent but too much rising death growl vocals. And it was a split within the band whether or not we were going to do the gang vocals and we still haven't decided whether or not it will appear on the version that will be on our upcoming release.

And in regards to the metal versus metalcore comment I appreciate that. With our new guitarist we are definitely going in a more metal direction than before (I mean look at his beard! haha). Most people call us metalcore because of the breakdowns and honestly it sucks because right off the bat a lot of people just won't listen to it because of the metalcore stigma, but we aren't doing this to get rich or famous, or mack on 15 year old girls...we are just all good friends that like to drink, smoke and play live shows together.

I have to show my love again to the Thorp board, for the last time I posted the demo and again this time around, you guys have at least listened and passed along fair criticism, which just doesn't happen anymore.

[Damn that was a long response haha]
