my mom has been sick for about 10 years...
but they could never figure out from what.
she would have been 55 in a month...

the inital thing they said it was is fibromyalgia
she was is so much pain she couldn't walk, or work so she ended up on disabilty and social security and all that...

they gave her any and every kind of medication ever...
she didn't get addicted fortunatly to the meds but they did nothing for the pain so all she did was sit and suffer pretty much...
and in doing so she gained weight

my mom at her heaviest was almost 300 lbs.

this lead to major diabetes.... all before 50 years old...

so the meds she was on were fucking with her heart...
so her heart doc gave her other meds, with out consulting her other doctors...

see my mom was in the welfare state she couldn't get decent health care... and no one cross checked anything.

about 2 years ago her liver and kidneys failed for a week.

I thought she was going at that point but she was a fighter and hung in there.

she actually got a little better and decided to move to south dakota...
in south dakota the state will do stomache stapling to help fight obesity...
her plan was to do that to help loose the weight...

she applied for it but it was too late because of everything else wrong they didn't want to take the risk.

so she got worse again.

she fell about 6 months ago and broke to of her vertabrae in her back leaving her in bed permanently.

and they kept pumping her full of meds and those shut her liver and kidnees down for good.

I guess the last time she saw a doctor other then the hospice nurses, they said she had more amonia in her body then blood.

it was all just a matter of time ya know.

but it kills me to think that just because they decided to over medicate, and mix medications with out cross checking my mom died.

and there is no one to sue, nothing to be gained.

Just a strong person who worked all their life to supprt their kids and do right was left on the side of the road with no solution other than to die.

just take care of yourself and those around you and keep fighting...

I made my peace long ago

Man, I can't even image the pain you feel right now.

I have a small intermediate family and I don't talk to my dad so I can't even imagine losing my mom.

And the health care delivery system in this country is atrocious. Whether it's vets or hard working middle class people, they all get screwed.

Shit Steve, I'm really sorry to hear this. I just got home thinking I had a rough day today, but my petty troubles just got wiped off the map. If there's anything at all that I can do just let me know.

Damn, it's been a rough patch on here recently between Steve, Honus, Discipline, Voodoo... and I feel like I'm forgetting some others.

yo thanks everybody... I'm doing well, like I said I made my peace long ago.

and yeah it does seem like life is becoming a bitch...
I don't remember a time when things seemed this bad since the late 70's early 80's

maybe real punk rock will arise again.

That's a crappy thing to happen, reading the story oh what's been happening just pisses you off more. Sorry to hear about this.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.
