Flooded..again

As some of you may recall, we have a house on the Mississippi just north of St. Louis, MO. Well with all of the rain and shit north of us, the river rose 10 feet in one day. We will be getting a foot of water in the "basement" again. Now, the "basement" is at ground level and our house sits on top of it. We got word from the neighbors that our boat and dock are in our yard. We have a 1984 pontoon boat and our dock is a converted (stripped) 1974 pontoon boat. Both are insured so we don't know if they are trashed or not.

The water will only put about an inch of mud the basement I believe but our riding lawnmower is toast.

The river rose too fast for us to get in and get shit out. It is a hell of a lot better then the last flood. Just another step back in the rebuild process. Could be worse though.

I posted these in the other thread but these pictures are fucking cool. This is from my friend's neighbor in STL.

That huge ass tree had some short roots. I guess that tree didn't get the Toby Morse memo on Raybeez.

Yeah, I thought the lack of roots was really odd too. Needless to say, this tree is sitting on an almost $400k home. It does suck but it doesn't put them out on the street.

Holy shit.... that picture with the tree is unreal! Its hard to see the house really, but if thats a $400K house I bet in New England it would be a million dollar home. Insane!

Sucks about your basement CR, but glad to hear the 80's are doing okay.
