when henry first joined - it was VIOLENCE FOR PASSION...or,vice/versa...it was so friggin' cool, scary, and right - you couldn't help but get chills...although,dez,was/is my favorite...but,i will never forget the fucking goosebumps on my ugly 13 year old body when i saw them with henry at the first couple of shows...it just felt ILLEGAL,back then...christ! that's what's missing from the whole shebang!!!\

it's not that the bands today aren't "hard",or "real",or "true"...

it's the feeling of being ILLEGAL that's gone...

i'll go on about it,later...i really need sleep...!

you older cats - think about it...

there was a reason we weren't all that truthful with our folks...

it really was DANGEROUS!!!!!!

and more fun than a barrel full of BOLD....

This really does sum it up. It's safe now with the exception of thug wannabees at various thug shows hurting people for the fun of it. Hanging out with my daughter is all the fun I need now.

Amazing footage.

And Paulie, I couldn't agree more. The vast majority of shows these days feel like play time in the romper room compared to the shows I grew up on. I have so many stories about normals invading shows to try to start fights or flirt with the freak show life, assholes trying to run us down crossing the street before and after shows, rednecks hunting us on the street, blah blah blah...

there was a point where a bunch of them types came lookin for me.
a misunderstanding, but could have been real bad for my skinny 17 year old ass.

I just remember going to see Random Killing and Forgotten rebels when I was about 13-14 and it was fucking crazy. A few fights outside the club, people yelling shit at you on the street and shit, jock asshats threatening the punk kids, it was nuts. I fucking loved it.
