Nice.
It's funny to see comments about Slayer and "can't they do something different." Umm, dude, the last couple times they departed from traditional
Slayer sounds it sucked balls.

I'm so incredibly bored by this band.
The song sound s a little 'raw' or 'older' but they always do the bait and switch. They release a new song that is the culmination of 3 years of off
time...everyone says...whoa this sounds like old slayer!!! then the album comes out and we find out that the early song was released because it was
the best one and that the rest are a boring hodge podge of riffs that would have NEVER made it onto a pre SOH Slayer album.
I won't even get into hypocrit ass Tom Araya...I've ranted enough on that guy.

Its sounds good. I like it. Hard to believe they are busting out a album 2 years after the last one. Usually they wait around 4 years or so. IS this
out in November 2008 or summer 2009?

Sounds great. I can see Jason's point but for me and a classic band like Slayer, I like to know what I'm getting I guess.

slayer is one of those bands that i never felt like i needed more than one album from.
ac/dc and admittedly, motorhead fall into that category as well.

AHAHAHAHA. MOTORHEAD and AC/DC. I agree 110% although I have a few motorhead. NO AC/DC but for some reason I know all the songs that matter. Even on
guitar.

These are the only CDs I have from these bands...
AC/DC - Back in Black
Motorhead - Ace of Spades
Slayer - Reign in Blood
When I want to hear those bands, those are the records i want to hear.
I have downloads of Christ Illusion, Undisputed Attitude and 1916, but have never really listened to them.

I have Motorhead No Remorse. Never really saw a need for much more than that.
As for ACDC, I have pretty much all of the Bon Scott era stuff, a few Brian Johnson records.
Slayer, have random shit on Itunes, but I'm pretty sure Reign In Blood is the only full length.
I really like Motorhead. Or, I should say the 20 or so songs they have that kick ass. After that, it's pretty bad.

everywhere when I was a kid and the fact that the best songs are reworked tracks that Bon never got to finish kinda dulls my interest. I have
practically zero interest in anything they did after that one.
Motorhead I don't need every single album, but they have too many classic songs spread over too many albums for me to just have one. I actually
haven't picked up the newest yet, but I'll probably get around to it. BD, I highly encourage you to listen to that download of 1916, that has several
of my favorite Motorhead songs on it.

No AC/DC ever. I own Motorhead's Greatest Hits. Doesn't melt my butter. I also own every slayer release.
I'm noticing a bit of a trend in this thread...

I own every Motorhead studio album plus some live albums, greatest hits albums, and a box set. I had the Motorhead logo airbrushed on a jean jacket
back in high school which I wore to death. Seen them several times, including the 20th, 25th, and 30th anniversary tours. Greatest band ever.
I own every Slayer album.
AC/DC I have 6 or 7 albums.

I'm kind of confused as to why the fact that some of the songs were reworked for Johnson would dull the record for you? Did you hear the versions
Scott was working on before you heard Johnson's versions? I can understand being burnt on stuff from over hearing it as a kid.
I'd say ACDC have far more better songs, and albums as a whole post Scott than Motorhead in the same time period.

I own all of Motorhead and all Slayer albums Reign in Blood and after. Back in black is it for AC/DC though. I strongly suggest Motorhead's Inferno if
you haven't heard it.

...and to listen to 1916.
