How long did you wait in line to vote?
Just curious what people are encountering across the country.
(reposted w/ absentee option. thanks, joe!)

got to our local polling place around 10:30.
we were about 40th in line, but it was 60-70 deep by the time we got inside.
(that's counting just voters, not all the kids.)
still, we were in and out in about 30 minutes.
people working there said the early morning line was easily twice as long.

When we voted last month I was in and out. No waiting.

i think this is a big election because no matter who wins, history is made. either the first black president or the first female vice-president.

If you don't vote, at all, then as far as I'm concerned you have no right to complain about things.
I went early, and as soon as I got there I voted. So it wasn't even 5 minutes.

I tend to put things off, and unfortunately I put off registering to vote a little too long. Needless to say, I can't vote today. My wife was mad at
me, and I'm bummed too. The only positive is that CT isn't a battleground state and I would have voted for Obama anyway. I'm missing out on some
CT-related stuff though.

Both of those factoids are meaningless in this election. It's historic because we can vote for the beginning of the end (unless you consider GWB to
have already started that) or a new beginning. The color of Obama's skin and Palin's lack of a penis don't add up to squat. Her lack of a brain does
though.

Didn't wait at all. Walked in, got my name checked off, went through the ballot, put it in the box, and left. 5-10 minutes tops.

it may not add up but it's historic for the reasons i said because either way it will be the first time in history for the reasons i said. sorry you
don't agree but it's true no matter how much you say otherwise.

what exactly do you mean? I know of nothing the military can do to get in the way of your vote. Asd a matter of fact in my almost decade with the Navy
they have been very pro voting and do everything they can to support it's members being able to do so. No offense, but it seems you didn't belong in
the military in the first place.

^Primarily. Some people wait until Nov 4, but for the most part it's all done mail-in. At least, that's how I understand it. I don't know anyone
that's going to polls today.
