Dramatic I know, but......
Last night when the wife and I were dealing with the almost every night struggle with putting out son to bed. He asked for a hug and while I held him
I thought one day I am going to miss doing this. It made it that much more important. Best hug ever.
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

When my nephew was younger, before I would leave his house we would face each other, hold hands, and he would use his feet to climb me, when he got to
my waist he would jump and I would catch him in a big hug.
Now he's 12 and about as tall as my shoulders, we tried to do it just last week, I almost broke my back.
but, I will always be my baby, even when he finally beats me at mercy.

Ours goes down for the night relatively easy (thank you routine). She's 4.5 years old. In about 7 years she is not even going to talk to me. I
understand why and will be bummed out but I know she'll be back. I tell her, the dog and Mrs. R83 I love them every chance I get.
