LOVE AND ROCKETS

upyerbum. Its your fault.

Who's a fan? and why?

EARTH SUN AND MOON is one of the greatest albums ever recorded and the rest of the Love And Rockets library is very good as well.

You realize its been 20 years since I've even thought of this band. And I didn't think much of them 20 years ago, or Joy Division. All that art school shit ruined punk rock. Just my opinion.

Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

All the little lifeforms
Upon this little earth
Multiplying dying and
Returning through rebirth
All the little children
Growing up in space
Adding their small stories
To the history of this race

Here on Earth, Here on Earth
Here on Earth, Here on Earth

Out-of-towners searching
For the way the world was made
Money spinners reaping
All the gifts from the arcade
All the winos drinking
To a methylated god
All the sleeping policemen
Who go by the book of plod

Here on Earth, Here on Earth
Here on Earth, Here on Earth

Here on Earth
Another mother's giving birth
To another mother
Who will then give birth
To a son of a gun
Who will cause the birth
Of another,
Of the family of Earth

All the searchers asking
Who on Earth is heaven bent
All the gurus telling
That to be is heaven sent
The men in see through mirrors
Who observe the masquerade
And we the masqueraders
Who believe we have it made
Who believe we have it made

Here on Earth, Here on Earth
Here on Earth, Here on Earth

^^^^^^^^^^^ COMPETE WITH THAT! No one can touch the depth that love and rockets reach with the spoken word put to a song.

I actually really like Murphy's solo stuff. Saw him solo back in, 02 maybe? Really intense.

Also saw the Bauhaus reunion tour, which was pretty awesome, save for Ash's big fuzzy top hat.

I have no idea why I passed on that reunion. Seriously I have no idea why. I could kick myself. Ya Murphy is a awesome frontman and singer. I like DAVID J and ASH's solo stuff too. David J is by far the most interesting though. That dude can right some tunes.

It was pretty awesome. Also saw the NIN tour they opened shortly after, but it was pouring out, so we were late and heard Bel Legosi on our way in.
Murphy was doing the solo acoustic thing when I saw him. Smoke on stage and candles.

^^^^^^^^^ I still have the flyer for that show. That was NIN's first tour opening for him. It was spring 1990. March to be exact. Good show. NIN was to open for JESUS AND MARY CHAIN but they had issues so it was quickly changed to PETER MURPHY.

No, no, I'm sorry, that was confusing.

Saw Peter Murphy in 02 or so.

Saw Bauhaus on reunion in 05/06ish

Went to the NIN show Bauhaus opened late that same year but missed them due to rain.
