Idiot....steals school bus......
A 44-year-old Westphal man accused of stealing a school bus and crashing it into a police cruiser while under the influence of alcohol is expected to
appear in Halifax provincial court this afternoon.
Andrew Joseph McDonald of Taranaki Drive was arrested this morning at about 3:30 a.m., after a man driving a stolen bus fled on foot from a crash
scene at the intersection of Gottingen and North streets in Halifax.
Mr. McDonald faces charges of impaired driving, theft and possession of stolen property worth more than $5,000, hit and run and fleeing from police.
Police said the bus was stolen from a depot on Main Street in Dartmouth sometime before 3:15 a.m.
“There’s three or four more buses with damage done to them,” police spokesman Const. Jeff Carr said Friday morning. “Broken windshields, that sort of
thing. He’ll be charged with those as well.”
A motorist called authorities to report a school bus travelling at high speed on the MacKay Bridge towards Halifax.
“We were called by someone who was behind him on the bridge who said he was doing in excess of 100 kilometres an hour and was all over the road and
had actually hit the rail at least once,” Const. Carr said.
The bus is also thought to have clipped a few cars in north-end Halifax.
The caller continued to follow the bus until police caught up.
“He continued all over the road and was going through red lights and stop signs apparently.”
When police located the bus, the driver initially failed to stop, but was finally halted when officers blocked his path with a cruiser which was twice
rammed by the bus. The driver fled the scene and was arrested after a brief foot chase.
Police say no one was injured, but at least two other unoccupied vehicles were also struck in the incident. The intersection where the crash occurred
remained closed for several hours, snarling morning traffic.
Mr. McDonald was fined $1,200 on Sept. 8 and prohibited from driving for a year after pleading guilty to failing the breathalyzer.
He was stopped by police July 19 in Bedford and had breathalyzer readings of .240 and .220, about three times the legal limit of .80, or 80 milligrams
of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
He also has four convictions under the Motor Vehicle Act, including two for speeding.

Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where
cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?
