recent movies i've seen

God Grew Tired of Us :thumbup:
Great documentary about the lost boys of Sudan. Next time you think you;ve got it rough, watch this.

Grandma's Boy :thumbdown::thumbdown:
One of the few movies I wasn't able to sit through. Shut it off after about 20-25 minutes. I don't know what you people are thinking.

Shooter
I don't love Mark Wahlberg, but I thought it was a good story with decent action.

Kingdom
Wasn't interested when this was out in theaters, but watched it tonight while putting together some furniture. Again, good story, good action.

Imagine Me & You
An English romantic comedy about lesbians. OK, not entirely, but generally. Not my usual type of selection, but I had seen part of it late one night on TV and watned to see how it ended.

49 UP
Documentary that follows the lives of 15 Britons and their families. The director started filming when the subjects were seven years old and revisits them every seven years.

Sex & The City: The Movie

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story
This had a very few funny moments, but overall was a waste of time.

Shooter was alright at 30,000 feet somewhere over Canada or the Pacific last year haha. I watched a few movies this weekend like:

Who Killed The Electric Car?
Traitor
30 Days of Night

all 3 were pretty good, electric car documentary just makes you wanna hurt things and pisses you off so much. Traitor was another great Don Cheadle movie, dude is awesome.

I'm trying to find new shit to watch now. Might check out Kingdom, already have enough docuemntaries atm though to last a while.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

THE NOMI SONG...

go to snagfilms.com,and watch it for free...

they've a good deal of decent documentaries to watch for nuthin'...the commercials get annoying, and the sound could be a lot louder...but,the price is right...

Will learn to Tap Dance,eventually...Will have you broads Hula,definitely...Trust me,you'll see.

(edited list to include walk hard)

i was hoping grandma's boy would be office space kind of funny. it wasn't.

kingdom is the jamie fox, saudi arabia movie.

who killed the electric car was a good documentary. one that really leaves you shaking your head. lately, i haven't been in the mood to watch anything like that. i've been considering watching recount and iraq for sale, but i don't want to end the day pissed.

added nomi song to my 'watch now' queue on netflix.

Your commentary on Grandmas boy was ignored and I forgive you. Shooter was really good. I was suprised too. Going to get the first one you talked of. Walk Hard was terrible.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

We all know the Holocaust didn't go well for the Jews but this movie framed it from a different angle. Well worth seeking out a theater that is playing it. Right now I think it's in the artsy fartsy theaters but I wouldn't be shocked if it got a wider release. Expect to be either bummed out afterwards or crying if you're a delicate flower.

Movies I've watched:

Tropic Thunder

Good but wasn't as good as it was hyped up to me.

Stepbrothers :thumbup::thumbup:

I thought this shit was a fucking riot

The incredible Hulk:thumbdown:

Better than the 2003 version but still not as good as I hoped it would be

Battle Royale 2

I loved the first one and was warned this wasn't nowhere near as good but I said fuck it and watched it anyway, even worse than I thought.

Splatter: Naked Blood

Though I've seen it in a shitty rips it was nice to see it in DVD quality.

Yeah that's it. It's a real interesting plot; scientists develop a pain killer that turns pain into sexual pleasure.

I must have ADD, because I can never sit down and watch a movie. I get bored easily by most movies, and get up and do something else. The Mrs. and I rented Charlie Wilson's War a few weeks back though. I must also be deaf because I couldn't hear half of what was said. After getting the play-by-play from the wife I enjoyed the movie.
