I picked up a sampler from Lancaster Brewing Company yesterday.
http://www.lancasterbrewing.com
I had an Amish Four-Grain Pale Ale with lunch. Not bad. The Strawberry Wheat is up next, followed by the Milk Stout. I'm avoiding the Hop Hog for
now, but will probably have one tomorrow.

just tapped into the Captain. Woot.
I know mixing is bad but it only makes me sick when I have the milky goodness of Guinness.
Sucks being at work so late

No beer tonight... yet. Right now Its a Hot Damn night. Had a bottle of the regular and one of the 100, both were about half empty so I poured both
into one.

juan, tell me more about the bubba burger.
the lancaster strawberry wheat was a good wheat bear - quite tasty, actually - but not at all strawberry-y (which is a good thing in my book).
moving on to the milk stout in a minute, then working to finish a bottle the captain before crashing.

Bubbas are a pretty good frozen burger available in most supermarkets for a modest fee.
1/3 lb pattys.
me and junior both enjoyed one and are contemplating another each.
he's an eater.

the milk stout was good. i didn't get to it until a party we had on saturday night, so i wasn't paying close attention, but it was good. next time i
have one, i'll post it anything noteworthy strikes me.
i also had the hop hog that night. wasn't terrible (i don't like hoppy beers). definitely not as hoppy as the victory hop devil.

I don't care for hoppy beers either. I like roasted beers.

i just checked their site, dak.
looks like lancaster is only distributed in nj, pa, de and va.
wasn't this discussed on the board before? can i mail beer to tx?
our friends that came up from baltimore for the party are big beer fans, so i sent them home with a 12 pack of the sampler.

my mouth has been calling for the victory golden monkey since i picked up the sampler a few weeks back, so i stopped and picked up a case after
chopping down my christmas tree tonight. working on my first now.
ABOUT
Strong and sensual, this golden, Belgian-style ale glows with goodness. The richness of German malts and Belgian yeast are tempered by a sparkling
approach and overall light body. Considerable depth of character with abundant herbal, fruity notes make this one to savor.
Gold Medal: LA County Fair 2003
Silver Medal: International Beer Competition, London 2004
COMPOSITION
Malts: 2 row German malt
Hops: European whole flowers
Yeast: imported, of Belgian origin
Alcohol by volume: 9.5%

Stella Artois on super sale at the store. Two 4-packs of tall boys for 4 GBP. I love how this crap is considered a fancy import in the US which is
sometimes poured into its own fancy glass because of how high-brow it is, but here it's the equivalent of Budweiser (which, of course, is an
overpriced import here) or some other shitty domestic.
