Rammer & Goat Horn! \m/
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

The previous link that nobody clicked on tells you which Slaughter MM was talking about, but here's more.
Slaughter (band)
Slaughter (Canadian band)
And since it's the other band on Wikipedia with the word "slaughter" in the name, you can't forget about...
Slaughter & The Dogs

There are those who think that life has nothing left to chance
A host of holy horrors to direct our aimless dance
A planet of play things
We dance on the strings
Of powers we cannot perceive
'The stars aren't aligned
Or the gods are malign...'
Blame is better to give than receive
[Chorus:]
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose freewill
There are those who think
That they were dealt a losing hand
The cards were stacked against them
They weren't born in Lotusland
Allways preordained
A prisoner in chains
A victim of venomous fate
Kicked in the face
You can't pray for a place
In heaven's unearthly estate
[Chorus]
Each of us
A cell of awareness
Imperfect and incomplete
Genetic blends
With uncertain ends
On a fortune hunt that's far too fleet
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where
cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

Just before leaving Vancouver I caught The Evaporators- they had Wimpy from the Subhumans with Chuck Biscuits and Randy Rampage from DOA up for the
last few songs- they played "Fuck You", it was pretty awesome. Andrew WK played the second half of the set with them too- not a fan but I have to say
he was a hell of a showman in a small venue.
Oh, and rush are terrible
