need help with the value of a car?
I'm trying to find out what a car is worth and I cant find the model on KBB.com. Its a 2005 Toyota Camry, but the model says UXS and I cant find
anything with those letters after it.
The car has about 6000 miles on it and I'm just trying to get an idea of what its worth. Anyone got any suggestions?

It's a Toyota so it's probably retained most of it's value.
If you know the drive train / options / trim, just use what's up on there to compare to what's available on the site.
Camrys are solid vehicles. My brother has one with 200,000 miles on it and it is still running strong.

I got the vin # because I have the title and it definitly says UXS on it. Like NME said, I googled it too and theres not 1 match!
also, its not a canadian model. It was bought in Mass, registered in RI and it was built specificly for my grandma in the US.
I'll check out Carfax, but I thought you had to pay for that.

My guess is that it's worth about the same as a new one (minus a bit, obviously). Toyota is one of the companies that does certified-used warranties,
which has helped newer cars keep the value since the warranty can be just as good as buying new.
And is it really only 6000 miles? Sure it's not 60,000? I think people are expected to put about 10,000 miles on a car each year on average.

its probably a typo of some sorts.

yup, it says UXS on the title and on the registration. I'll check out that link.
As far as the mileage goes, it is about 6000 miles, it might be a little less than that actually. My grandma bought it new in 2005 and she really
didnt drive far AT ALL! I probably put about 1000 of those miles on the car taking it to work for a week or two so it would get some highway driving.

Pretty sure I'm going to keep my car. I have a 2008 Mazda 3. Its only a 4 cylander so its a little better on gas. Its smaller than the Camry which I
also like. Plus my car has Sirius hardwired in the dash board & its pricey to get that done to a car and I would really want it done if I kept my
grandmas car.
Here car does have GPS though... she really needed it for the 5000 miles she drove over the last 4 years!
I do wish I could keep her license plate just as a reminder of her. Its not a vanity plate, but shes had it for years. Unfortunantly I only have one
car and I dont want to get rid of my plate.
Will a dealer buy the car?

probably, but they won't give you top dollar.
i have a few friends that have worked at dealerships selling cars and they are all adamant that people should sell their own cars.
they say it might take a little while longer, but you'll always get way more money compared to taking it to a dealer.
is there anyway to find out how much she paid for it?
just subtract 20% and see if anyone will buy it.
if it's only 3 years old with 6k miles, that's pretty much "like new".
if there's no luck, knock another thousand off and try again.
eventually, you'll find "the price".

what does "hardwired in the dash" mean?
is it something different than buying a Sirius radio and having it installed?
is there some advantage to having it?

I just mean that the radio in my dash board controls the Sirius. I just hit the 'SAT' button and then use the regular radio buttons as presets. Also
the antenna is run under the carpets and then out the trunk lid so there are no visable wires at all. I think it was about $700 for the receiver
whatever else is needed & the instalation when I bought the car.

If you don't find that model, I would just go off of one of the other models prices or maybe compare the other models price ranges to get an idea.

HONUS. Sell it outright. Don't go to a dealer. I would have seriously considered it, but I just bought a JEEP LIBERTY. You should get top dollar for
it since its so low in miles.
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.
