the cure. What is the best thing they ever released and why?


I go with seventeen seconds. The sound, texture and songs themselves have the greatest feeling to them. Mellow and almost scary, but very cool.

its really a toss up, between 17 seconds, faith.

but i'd say that pornography, is the darkest album.

^^^^^^^^^^^ I can see the point and most would agree with you but to me SEVENTEEN SECONDS lacks a standard to live up too. Plus, seventeen seconds was 100% focused on being different then the earlier stuff. Pornography was awesome and focused, but had to work at being more dark than before. It had more atmosphere and a spacey sound thats for sure. What I like of seventeen seconds is the sound of it being more intimate. Like you are in on the recording. Its more personal.
