Going to see friends. Play a little guitar hero/rock band. People are gonna watch the ball drop and I wont give a shit. Maybe drink a little. Mrs. Moron has to work tonight so I guess I'll be kissing the cat at midnight.

I had an old girlfriend who was being kind of a bitch to me one new years eve so I didn't really feel like kissing her at midnight. Oh she fucking let me have it. I didn't really think it was that much of a big deal.

Stayed home, played a board game, watched Stephen King's Desperation which was complete shit, then sat online til about 1:30am then went to bed.

9:15am Jan 1 now, sitting up with the kids.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Listening to the roar of my 2 and half year old son and his 2 year old cousin that we are watching because his mom and dad decided to go to Seattle for the New Year to get blitzed without telling anyone in the family and the left him with his baby sitter that seems a little sketchy to my wife and mother-in-law. It sucks when they are together, especially when I was hoping for a quiet night in.

I want to punch my sister-in-law and her baby daddy in the face everytime there's some retarded reason why we have to watch their kid. Drives me nuts when folks don't prioritize their young kids.

Some friends might be coming over. It's 10:30 here and in the past hour I've had 3 irish carbombs and I'm working on my 2nd bourbon and coke so I'm fucked . Probably won't even notice if anybody comes out or not.

I only saw the first few minutes of Tropic Thunder... tell me it's as funny and gory for no reason all the way through BD.
