so my live journal post of the new year...

so on top of all the other bullshit going on in the def-star hood...

my 13 year old daughter called today from her xmas vacation with her crack whore mother....
and informed me she is going to stay, as in send her shit, don't pick her up in 2 days as planned, she is happy and we can fuck off....

of course she is happy in a house with little or no rules

what 13 year old wouldn't want to give up all of the opportunities that I moved my family half way across the planet for, to live in Easton PA... cultural center of the fucking universe...

so much for her wanting to be an actress...
or anything other than a walmart greater
fuck it 1 less mouth to feed and a bedroom to rent out.

let's recap
since moving to LA in sept 07
ripped off for 15 grand---check
new car stolen right outside of my house---check
business gone---check
mom died---check
daughter jumps sinking ship---check

hell all I need now is for my wife to divorce me
have a heart attack
and get fired from my day job...

check

I wish I could tell you I was a millionaire and was going to give you a couple to help you with whatever I can. However I'm as broke as the majority of the grouchy bastards on here.

Some things in life cannot be fixed, others can but are better off broken. Then there are those that need a swift kick in the ass to get it going again. Its up to you to choose which to apply to life's situations. You'll land on your feet again, just give it time my good man.

Steve you're one of the best guys with the worst luck. If I hit the lottery I would do whatever I could to help out.... Maybe I'll buy a ticket.

take care!

Hopefully after a bit more time with her mom your daughter will realize her mistake and make the smart choice to come back to live with you.

Jeez Steve, that is terrible.
I have a friend who had the same dilema.
He has a son, who's mom had been in and out of his life throughout his 15 years.
She was quite literally a crack hoe at one point.
She would just show up, and convince the boy to come life with her, turn his life upside down, and then when she couldn't handle it, she'd drop him off again and disappear for however long.
I've been worried that my son's mom would try and pull a fast one on me and move far away and try and take him. She recently got engaged and somehow they came into money all of a sudden so I can't help but be suspicious as she is a sneaky one.
I hope she sees the light and decides to come back dude. and I really hope something happens to derail this train of bad circumstances that has been running thru you and your family. i dont know you, but you seem like a great dude from what i see on here, and it's just not right that you have been getting dealt all this bullshit.

When I was 12 I moved to Florida because I thought living with my mom would be better than my pops. Took me 4 months to realize I was an idiot for thinking that way, but 6 months to finally convince my dad to get me a plane ticket and pay for a car to pick me up for the airport (mother refused to bring me).
Looking back I'm happy I moved there for I learned a lot about they way life could have been for me.

I'm not saying that she will come back, but I'm sure moving across the country and away from everything she knows was hard, She's too young to really make thought out decisions, and ofcourse wants the easiest, most fun life she can have.
And that sucks for you. But you love her, and she needs to know you will always be there with an open door for her and that even though you are upset with her decision, you will never be mad at your little girl.

Seriously. I've made the comment before that I might start believing in God just to have someone to blame for all the shit that goes wrong in life. But your recent experiences are putting my issues to shame. Hope it all works out in the end, and sorry you have to deal with all the bullshit in the meantime.

Steve, I've seen just how much your daughter (and of course the rest of your awesome family) means to you. She's at an age where that stuff becomes hard to see and she'll undoubtedly realize how great she's had it once she gets a real taste of life with her mom. She may also be picking up on how rough things have been for you lately and think that she's actually making things easier on you by doing this. You know I wish you the best and hope that things turn around for you.

My wife sorta did the same thing as Furly but didn't go back, ended up just going out on her own. Says it was her biggest regret not going to her dad.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

thanks guys and gal...
it is what it is...
I don't want to speak badly about my daughter, but she has little ambition...
just like her mother...
and I told her if she wants to grow up to be a beach bum, fuck it as long as she is happy...

but her and her mom have hour long discussions over how good the hot chocolate they just made is...
yes really

as long as she is happy I'm cool with it...
and she can come back as long as there is space...

since it's now just me my wife and my 5 year old son we could get into a 1 bedroom or studio out here for about 1500.00 less a month then I am paying now...and that really would help out, but I'd rather her be here...

and someday shit has to get better...
like I said it can't get much worse at this pont without dropping dead or something
