Hello Ohio

For the last few years I've been telling my nephew that I'm no longer spoiling him on bithday's and Christmas so that this comming summer when I turn 30, and he turns 13 we could go to Disney. Today I told him I was starting planning it. He said "but Auntie, you spoil me anyway, we don't have to go to Disney, as long we can do something fun".

I love that kid.

So I tell him I've never been to Ohio, and I hear there is a really cool park out there. He's down

So I've been looking online and found Cedar Point park, which looks pretty cool, I also think we should hit up the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, he's gotten into music, and I really want to go so I figure why not.

Has anyone ever been to either, or have any other ideas around there?

I've been to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but it was YEARS ago almost when it first opened. It wasnt as cool as I thought it would be, but I'm notsur eif its changed shince then. Its also in the middle of the downtown and we couldnt find anything else to do at all! Not even any good resturaunts. We ate in a hotel and in a shitty mall.

cedar point is the largest park in the US if I'm not mistaken,
for that reason alone it is packed with tons of midwesterners who can't reach LA or florida
yes there are some great rides
but there are some parks out there you might have more fun at since there are fewer people in attendance

I had heard it was big, didn't know it was that big. We'll be going midweek in August, so maybe it won't be too packed. Plus I love parks and rollercoasters, I just hope he dosn't turn into a wuss now that he's tall enough to ride the bigboy rides.

Maybe I'll skip the Hall of Fame, I donno. I'll check out the website when the time is closer to see if they have anything worth while going on.

You could probably do Cedar Point in a day, depending on what sort of stuff you're looking to do. I mean, is your nephew going to be into roller coasters? Cuz that's the best part of the park, but there's other stuff to do.

The amount of time you need tehre also really depends on how crowded it is when you go. If you're having to stand in line for an hour to get on a ride doing things in a day might not come about. If you've only got 10 minutes or so, you're going to be all over the place in a day.

Also, bring a change of clothes in case you're interested in water rides. They've got some good stuff in that regard.

Man thats my neck of the woods. I finally got the computer back from the GEEKS again.

CEDAR POINT. In August you might make it a 2 day thing if you can since everyone goes then. Although, 1 day would be sufficient to get the jist of it. SANDUSKY has a shitload of nice hotels and really cool waterpark/hotels. Check out KALAHARI. Or the hotel at CEDAR POINT. Its a blast. Seriously, if you can go to CEDAR POINT you guys wont regret it.

As for the HALL OF FALME. I have never been, but I've heard its really cool and nice if you want to really read/inspect the history of music, but as for some cool shit I guess its not that exciting. I'd sure dig going for the history of it certain larger bands or artists.

It would be cool to meet up even if its just for a bite to eat. I wouldn't want to intrude on your family thing at all, but just to meet up and take picture for the board would be cool. Cedar Point is only 30 mintues away from me and The ROCK HALL is 20 mintues away.

If you or the nefew dig baseball go to and Indians game. We should be sucking really bad by August with the trades and pick ups we have made so far this year. That means you could score some really cheap and awesome seats.

I've been wondering where ya been Clevo!

I checked out Kalahari, looks pretty rad! He'd love the indoor surfing (and by then I'll be able to use a little spa time). Maybe I'll spend a day and night there, and a day at Cedar park, spend the night at a motel 8 or someshit just to save a little money.

Baseball game sounds like a great idea also. Good call! I'll see if he would want to go as the time gets near.

There seem to be a few zoos out there also, any you would recommend?

And yeah, I'd down with meeting up for a bite. My little dude is pretty good with meeting new people. He likes to bust my friends balls, I don't know where he gets it from.....

The Cleveland Zoo is great. We take the boy at least 2 times a year. Its all easy driving too.

I have yet to go to Cedar Point, but would REALLY like to. It's coasters are considered some of the best in the world.
