Soar throat, coughing, runny nose...
Do you guys (or gals) take anything that ACTUALLY works? I have tried a bunch of stuff in the past with no luck. I have never tried Mucinex but have
thought about it.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I've heard that a massive dose of Vitamin C will help, if you follow it with a cup of hot tea/ theraflu...
Mucinex has worked really well for me, but that was for the deep in your chest yucky cough.
The best thing I can reccomend is Zinc, but if you're already a couple of days in, it probably won't do you much good. If I start taking zinc at the
first sign I'm getting sick (sneezing for me) then I am not sick for nearly as long and I don't feel as bad during.
Your throat hurts because your nose is draining down the back of your throat, anything you take to help stop you up should help with that and gargling
with warm salt water will help too.

I've never taken anything that worked REALLY well, but Nyquil/Dayquil work the best for me.

Yeah, Nyquil is good just because it puts you in a coma.
My girl was nice enough to bring me some Halls and spend some time with me even with the risk of getting sick. She was even smart enough to get the
Sugar Free ones since with my surgery I need sugar free.

Yeah, I went with saying "girl" and not GF because we are "dating". For each of our own reason neither of us arushing things but I made sure to get
one thing clear... Had to ask "If we are dating, do you "date" others at the same time or is this it?" and good thing is she is not a "multi-dater".
I know some people use the "dating" term as a free ticket to still see / fuck other people so I am glad we were on the same page.
Things are going great though. If it wasn't for finding her with all the other BS I have been going thru I would probably be in jail right now. lol

I usually take Airbourne and a combination of Chinese herbal formulas when I'm feeling flu-ish or have a cold. I swear it shortens the length.
My dad told me that stuff you swab your nostril with works. Forget what it's called though.

Zicam- is what it's called, but all it is is concentrated zinc and you can get the pills or throat drops for much cheaper.
