i like certain metal like napalm death and cannibal corpse, stuff like that, but i hate all these crap ass metal bands using the name hardcore to get
credibility or whatever....like choke says "what makes you think you can come around and act like one of us?"

i was all excited to hear of the return of headbangers ball and i wanted to get mtv2 just for it, now im glad i didn't. i find myself going back to
old cd's and music that i know i like cuz i just can't get on board with alot of todays so called heavy music, whether its hardcore, metal, nu metal,
it sounds rehashed for the most part, obviously theres exceptions but man just too many copycats out there...

The trick to listening to metal is to throw the lyrics away. I don't need to be inspired by bands lyrics anymore, I've got Articles of Faith and
great books for that kind of shit.

if i buy a metal cd these days i just wont bother reading the lyrics for the most part...i remember gorguts considered dead, still have it , still
dig it....i'm definetley out of touch with current metal madness though, and the newer hardore as well, i guess im not totally alone in that dilema,
it's just that all too oftern i listen to something and say " oh they sound like so and so, or they bit that idea off of you know who'...but in the
end , headbangers ball is just terrible.....wasnt there another show on mtv2 or something on early in the evening that played heavier stuff, a while
back, i could have sworn i saw that mess phil anselmo (however you spell it) trying to stay concious enough to host it....
