PC Help

so my pc had some sort of memory failure.
my IT guy looked at it and now im kinda realizing he isnt so good at what he gets paid to do.
he ended up removing the memory from one of my ports (sorry i dont know the correct terminology)
i ordered more memory sims and actually upgraded it.
so i am runnin it with only 512mb of ram at the moment.
im no expert with this crap.
for whatever reason now, everything is lookin more like millenium edition. no, its not in safe mode.
so what i am askin is, if i dont kave enough or normal ram, will windows default to an earlier style that uses less graphics and shit?
i'm not nearly as smart with computers as most of yous so if you can shoot me some advice.
yeah, i'd like an Apple, but not in the budget right now.....

Changing RAM shouldn't change the looks of Windows. You have XP installed? Have you checked all your programs and data to make sure he didn't actually just fuck it up and install a new OS? :)

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Mac is over rated.
