Man's shooting tied to mosh pit incident

Lower Class Brats posted a comment about a shooting which took place at one of their shows:
We would like to send out their most sincere regards to the victim and the family of this terrible act of mindless violence. We don't need this in our
scene.
According to a local news report, the shooting happened after the show about 1:30 a.m. outside the Rock Bottom Tattoo Bar. The shooting was motivated
by a "man upset that his girlfriend was roughed up in a mosh pit .
The police report notes that a man drove up outside the club to say something to the victim about pushing the girlfriend in the pit. Witnesses told
police the victim apologized to the woman for the incident then walked away, but her boyfriend continued to argue about the incident. As the car was
driving off, the man fired out of a car window, striking the other man, who collapsed in the street, police said.

I'm not really that familiar with the Lower Class Brats, but I think they are a 'punk' band and not a 'hardcore' band. That being said, the 'punk
scene' and the 'hardcore scene' probably share A LOT of people.
Okay... all that being said.... Do you think that the 'Punk/Hardcore scene' breeds violence because of all its contributing images and themes?
There are so many bands with weapons in their logos...
Hatebreed - maces
Collin of Arabia - knife
Bloodclot - machine guns
Pitboss 2000 - baseball bats
Stigma - hand grenade

They are a great street punk band. Definitely not violent people. Sucks to have happened at one of their shows. They are really good guys.

people are fucking ridiculous, and seriously what the fuck does what band was playing have anything to do with this?
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, ?You know, I want to set those people over there on
fire, but I?m just not close enough to get the job done.? George Carlin

it doesn't matter to us, but I am sure the people of the community will look badly on the band as attracting people like that.

What a fucking pussy. Hiding in a car and shoots while driving away.
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was another time that LCB got booked in a "normal" club and had some "regulars" show up on the wrong night, then got
pissed that someone (in this case, the girlfriend) got pushed in the pit. Honestly, I've seen similar shit happen (at their shows and others) -
though not to that extent. I find it hard to believe anyone intentionally at a hardcore/punk show would shoot someone over that... maybe over
something else, but not that.

I was at a Blood for Blood show at the Living Room a few years ago and after the 3rd band out of 6 there was a big fight and one guy left yelling
about coming back with a gun and the whole show got shut down.
I dont remember the first 3 bands, but I know that i didnt get to see The Ragmen & BFB because of it.

what an asshole! no matter if hardcore or punk scene, people like this guy arenīt member of anything. you canīt blame the band for their audience and
i think that the shooter is only a jealoius and timid guy who didnīt understand what is happening at a punkrock show.
the thing with shooting at the other guy is a typical american problem. you have too many guns on the streets, but you want it this way...
