Finding out a personal hero died.

Never really had this happen before. Anyone I admire was dead long before I found out about them (MLK JR for example). But I found out today a personal hero of mine passed on Valentines day. Louie Bellson was an extraordinary jazz drummer, inventor of the double bass, and helped inspire me to play drums nearly twenty years ago. I had the pleasure of meeting him once at a drum clinic. A moment I'll never forget.

R.I.P.

Its sad how people like that you never really hear of. They matter. Thats awesome that you actually met someone you admire as much as that too. That doesn't happen that often for most people.

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

sorry to hear the news.
you're fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet him - clearly it's a memory you'll cherish.
