the venue was cool.
first time i was at JB's three years ago, it was just the first floor.
now, the music venue is on the second floor and it has a balcony looking down.
bar on each floor, decent amount of seating.

generally speaking, the show was not good.
first off, there were maybe 40 people in the venue.
and five of them came with me.
Zoroaster was a bit of a disappointment, plus they unleashed WAY too much fog.
AmenRa was deported.
Starkweather sounded great and played a bunch of new songs.

Apparently, their show on Saturday at ABC went much better.

the were stopped on their way back in to the US and sent back to Belgium.

Nothing. We rule the world.

The problem that many bands have is they don't have work visa's, or they'll get one for the U.S. and not Canada. So if they don't have a Canadian work visa and they get caught they get deportrf. We're also bad for letting in bands if somebody in the group has a criminal record. Some bands get in, some don't. DRI has been banned from Canada for years because one or the two of the guys had DUI convivtions. Many times I've had tickets for a show and the band hasn't been able to get into the country. The Business, DRI, Anti Heroes, Total Chaos, Exploited, etc. The list goes on. Years ago Cannibal Corpse were allowed in but weren't allowed to bring any merch with them because it was deemed too graphic. This was around their first or second album.
