I got the ball rolling on becoming a mentor last week. Should have an interview coming up this month. Having not had a positive male role model for
most of my life, its something I feel very strongly about. I think becoming that person for a kid, aside from helping the kid, would fill in some of
the blanks for myself. Not sure about which specific program I am going to be participating in, but I will be either working with foster care teens
or kids who have a parent currently in prison.

I'm in ventura now so if the kid/kids you work with need someone to play with I have a 5 year old with a ton of energy looking for new friends...
I don't know how young the kids in the programs are, but we are around
