That band from the 80's? I had a record of theirs I stole form a college radio station. It wasn't bad either.

Chicago? I'm surprised VICTORY hasn't got their claws on them and re-released them. I remember the record kicked ass.

To be honest its probably going to be a debacle. One of the guys was homeless and panhandling under an expressway ramp for years (oddly enough it was
the exit right near renowned Chicago "punk" bar the Exit) and actually passed on a year or two back. So no idea why all of the sudden they're playing
shows other than being bored or broke, which is noble enough lol. They have a show in the city tonight and then tomorrow with Vomit and this band Torg
who are like a seventh rate Mentors in the near SW burbs. At a pizza place! Glorious it ain't.
Victory wouldn't sign them/re-release them. He hasn't had anything to do with hardcore in Chicago since '89 or whenever he released his old band
Evenscore. Before he jumped on the emo bankroll he was on NY and Clevelands nuts.

That sucks to hear about them. I hope my stealing a record from the college station didn't hurt them? I mean they could have been signed to virgin
records if that airplane guy was driving through Oberlin Ohio and turned on WOBC and the a dj was spinning some punk. He could played them and things
my have worked out for them. Kind of like a butterfly effect.

what about Blood For Blood, Integrity, Comeback Kid, Warzone and the Victory Style comps?
if i remember correctly, Victory was releasing HC albums up to around 2002.

Na, Jason is right. Victory was responsible for signing several CLEVO and NYHC bands. INTEG, OLC, IN COLD BLOOD, and a couple others. Then several
releases of skarhead, EC, snapcase, and plenty others. It made victory what it was. Shit victory did there part with getting HARDCORE out across the
planet that is for sure. And yes the are responsible for plenty of other towns bands as well. No doubt. B4B had to have made victory plenty of cash.

Jason also said "hardcore in Chicago." I can't recall Victory ever releasing anything from Chicago or anywhere near Chicago when I was going there
regularly back in '99-'00 when I still lived in Indiana. And there was alot of stuff in the Chicago area that was right up Victory's alley in those
days... ton of vegan straight edge bands that took after Earth Crisis. Besides Hatebreed, and later B4B, ExC was Tony's breadwinner in those days.
Catalyst Records, in Indianapolis, was releasing stuff from all those Chicago area vegan sxe bands.

Yep, was referring to Chicago. Tony was more concerned at Chicago shows with buying the older/skin crowd beer to try and look cool (or hanging out in
the Fireside bowl toilet while dudes smoked down because he "likes the way it smells") than anything that was going on musically. He did a lot for
marketing hardcore globaly but made no local contributions what-so-ever outside of his short lived record store after it got done benefitting his
band.

The thing I miss most from that place was that little bartender "hammer" that dude would bust hc balls all night long, it was fucking hilarious.
