discover card

Just tried to jack my rate to 15.24%

The claim was that is how much they are being charged in fees to operate. "It's nothing personal against you" is what 2 of the 4 people I spoke with said.

Pure bullshit.

that's a lie.
they're just hedging their bets based on your credit history.

i've read all kinds of articles about people having their rates jacked or the limits lowered significantly. one dude had his limit lowered by more than half, to an amount below his existing balance for that month, and then they charged for going over!

They kept the rate at where I'm at because "they did not want to lose my business" But they would not go any lower and i know its because I am over 75% of my credit line with them.

I don't traffic in credit cards anymore. I fucked up big time when I was 19-20 and I'll never do it again.

chase loves me.
i've had a card with them for about 13 years.
10 of 'em it's been a airline miles card.
they recently lowered my rate to like 4%
(no matter, i pay off every month)
and upped my credit limit y about 8% to $30k.
