SGR interview with Roger Miret: Selling the '32 Coupe & Plans for The Disasters
ROGER MIRET, frontman of NYC's favorite street rock purveyors, THE DISASTERS, is getting ready to welcome his third child into the world. Yes, the addition will undoubtedly make the world a more
rockin' place. As a result, however, Mr. Miret has decided to get rid of something else close to his heart -- his 1932 Chevy Coupe!
We recently quizzed Roger of the details and thoughts surrounding this decision:
SGR: What is your favorite memory of the Chevy?
RM: There are so many great memories of just getting away from it all on a great blast to the country! Lots of shows and great times
with my brothers the Rumblers CC!!!!
SGR: Why are you selling it?
RM: Well family forces the sale. My newest addition coming soon! But I have a '54 Chevy that will work best as a family car for me,
my wife and 2 kids!!!!
SGR: What is your favorite thing about the car?
RM: Everything! the time and effort it took to gather the parts! The passion it took for the build! Seriously, it stands strong like
I do and tottally screams Roger Miret!!!!
SGR: What has it meant to you?
RM: It meant my life... in short, rebelion, out of step with society straight up misfit style and lets not forget loud! fast!
rules!!!!
SGR: What is your next car project?
RM: Like I mention above my '54 will take center stage but it will be a mild custom like they did back in the '50's school yard
style... still it will represent myself! There is all the info needed on Ebay where the coupe is up for auction! Place a bid and own a part of hot rod/ rock n roll history!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270383206438
As for upcoming plans for ROGER MIRET AND THE DISASTERS, the band has recorded five new songs and will be recording another four on June 6th. The new
material is by far their best so keep your eyes out on myspace for news. http://www.myspace.com/disasters

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

DAMN!!!! I can't believe he's selling it. That car is all over the place. Good on him though for making such a tough yet responsible decision. I hope
he makes a mint. I know he has sold a car in the past to one of those Good Charlotte fags, maybe he can score a douche like that again and take em to
the bank. Now..............about this new Disaster record in the works.......any word on a label yet, "cough" Sailors Grave "cough" ???????
Franklo, Yup, that DVD is the shit. Have you ever been to their show in NYC?
