Listening to Helmet 'Strap It On'...
...for the first time in YEARS.
Hole shit, this record is hyper.

Great album and a great band.
Love everything they did up to and including Betty.
Couldn't really get into anything they recorded after that.

well, it wound up getting played cause the turntable was recently hooked back up and i've been playing everything i have.
strap it on is fast and gritty and the sound is a little raw.
i'm really into it.
in the 90s, i stuck w/ helmet through Betty, but that one was a stretch for me.
"In The Meantime" is still a favorite song, especially live versions.

The problem I have with Helmet is that everything single song starts off on the same note so I cant skip to the song I want to listen to without
having the CD booklet.

I love Betty. I think it's a great album, although not as good as Meantime.

I am with everyone. Up to BETTY the stuff rocked. I never even heard the stuff after so I can't judge it. I saw them for the STRAP IT ON tour when
SUPERCHUNK opened. Page hung out with us for a few and chatted it up. Really one of the nicest people to meet. Not even the slightest "rockstar"
attitude. Dude was really nice. Must have been around the time he got that fat 2 million dollar royalty check for signing with interscope. Dude got
paid and road on the back of that grundge wave. One of those people that used it to his advantage. He said he went to Julliard school of music or
something, he lives and breaths music. So more power to him, but the crazy thing is that that show was 19 years ago. DAMN!!! I guess that ship has
sailed. Wow I am getting old.
