Intervention
Has anyone seen this show on A&E? I saw it for the first time last night, and it was pretty intense at times. There were two interventions last night... a lady who had an
eating disorder and a woman who was an alcoholic. They delve pretty deep into the person's life, and it tries to show where the problem all began.
The show hit home with Mrs. Moron. After seeing the show she felt pretty guilty about not maintaining friendships with two people who are alcoholics.
I guess sometimes there's not much you can do until the person is ready and has "hit rock bottom"
Anyway... what an interesting show. It makes me want to work with people who have substance abuse issues! I can imagine that the show might get a
bit repetative, but Im gonna give it a shot.

I caught the bit with the eating disorder lady, she was really adamant with her daughter with the whole cereal fiasco because she didn't want her to
end up like her. The child isn't that nieve though, children often imitate their parents.

Yeah. That was definately sad to see the possible beginnings of another person's eating disorder. Just continuing the cycle. Just like the other
lady who would drink and be drunk in front of her kid all the time. They said she would drink an average of 18 beers a day, and she drank some big 24
ouncers on her train ride to work. Im sure that's something a kid will pick up as well.
