Thorp Videos

So is there some new requirement that any videos now hafta have songs with names from older more famous songs? When I went to check out On The Outside's video I thought it was gonna be either a Slapshot or possibly a Cocksparrer cover and I actually noticed for the first time that there was a Mad Sin video up there with the same name as a classic Dead Boys song. Turns out that neither one is a cover, but still, it seemed odd.

Y'know, for that type of stuff, it was really good. I don't usually dig that kinda HC at all, but those guys seemed to have a different take on it than all the bands they were compared to. Granted, I've only heard that one song that's in the video, but if that's a good example of what they sound like then they're pretty decent. I know that sounds like a slam on them, but with my tastes that's actually a pretty generous compliment from me. New HC bands just really don't do much for me at all with very few exceptions. The fact that they didn't immediately make me sick is a very good sign.

Wow, lately I've been more in "brutal honesty" mode instead of just "keeping my mouth shut to keep from stepping on toes" mode like I usually am. I hope nobody took this as me talking shit because I'm so far from that it's ridiculous. Usually I only get this honest with people I know really well, so I guess I'm just comfortable on Thorp.

I took me a few good listens to get their sound to click with me, but I actually sort of dig it now. If anything link a to some other songs might interest me more......

Hey, I'm always honest, I just usually keep some things to myself so as not to expose my assholery to the whole world, or at least not all of my assholery. And no, I'm not gonna expose my asshole to the world either..... So yeah, anyway....

yeah saint hit the nail on the head, could'nt have said it better myself. if something doesn't actively irritate me these days it's a pleasant surprise. and i usually try to not be too much of a dick about it (sometimes sucessfully, often not). decent enough for me to want to hear more
