donating sperm or pushing out the little bastard doesn't quite make one a parent, just a DNA link.
people argue abhortion every day, but I guess this is the other alternative? complete monsters bringing kids into the world.

there is not really a good way to tell if this will happen or not. A history of depression can lead to severe postpartum depression which, if
untreated, turns into postpartum psychosis. But lots of women with a history of depression have babies and do just fine. I think the big thing is the
ability to ask for help. A LOT of women have... um... *thoughts*. Several friends of mine have admitted that in the first few weeks after a baby was
born they were sleep deprived and cranky and the hormones are going crazy and they would think crazy things.. like one said one morning she was just
waiting for her husband to leave so she could drown the baby in the bathtub. because the baby wouldn't stop crying and she just "wanted her to be
quiet".
She recognized that she needed help and called her mom to come to the house and sit with the baby. Some people just don't recognize that they need
help, or even worse.. feel there isn't anyone to ask for help.
Either way... the whole thing is tragic. I agree with the neighbor who said when she is in her right mind she is going to be devestated.

This is the worst case of this thing I have ever read. It makes me really sad when I hear about some of the conditions children are born into and what
they must sometimes endure because of it. All I can hope is that that poor child died quick and is now somewhere peaceful. I know I don't believe in
that whole life after death thing, but it is when I hear stories like this that I kind of hope I am wrong.

There is absolutely no excuse for this. Hormones, depression, "thoughts" whatever. No excuse. If you are thinking of making a child "quiet" because
you are tired then maybe you they should make themselves "quiet" and leave the innocent child alone. If you can't hack it as a parent them don't have
children. It's not a right it is a privilege. Enyo this is not a take on you at all. This is a reaction to what someone has told you and i have heard
before myself.
