Different Types of Merch from Bands

Best Shit Ever That You Hardly See.

Shorts
Windbreakers
Jackets.... like with embroidered art on the back
Dog Shirts
Thongs
Boxers
HAND TOWELS (you know for the summertime when its really hot, some peepz like to have one on them, picture a logo or something embroidered and centered on one side near the end)

I just found a pair of Real McKenzies panties I bought for my ex in a box of some old stuff I was going through. I love weird merch, but don't buy much of it myself.

100 Demons sold bongs for a while. Death Threat had wallets and belts. Both looked pretty damn cool.

as somone who makes merch....let me answer you honstly

we do shorts, windbreakers, belts, panties, wallets,(the canvas ones), bandannas(sp), basketball jerseys, skateboards and all kinds of weird shit.

why don't more bands buy them? beacuse they are broke....
it's hard to invest 15.00 a piece in windbreakers, when you can get 3 times as many shirts for the same price...

more merch at a lower price.

for 100 bucks you can 25 shirts, or 6 windbreakers.
yes you can charge more for the windbreakers, lets say 30.00. so you can make 180.00 on you 100 dollar investment, profit $80.00
sell you shirts for 10.00 and make 250.00 on your 100.00 dollars profit 150.00

and you are also more likely to have kids come out who have 10.00 to spend on merch rather then 30.00

it just makes more sense to go with a lower investment with higher yeild.

and we can't make them any less expensive then we already do, I mean we already have about the lowest prices you can find, and for high quality products....

someday every good band with have a nice label with merch support, but not any time soon

if i remeber correctly , there was talk of a "the new breed" beer mug at one point, but i'm sure the lack of funds or the reasoning of know one would buy one, and we'd end up the onlys ones drinking outta them stopped us from doing it. :P

I work in a metal fabrication workship in the Engineering department of my uni, so I'm going to make brass knuckles with BEAR and TRAP across the front of each hand for my bands merch.

Gay? hell yes!!

(A 16 year old made that, hence the 'MELBOURE' (instead of MELBOURNE) typo.)

Non traditional merch that I've encountered:

I've got an old Descendents coffee cup lying around somewhere.

I remember the Meatmen selling pillow cases with Traci Lords' picture on it.

I remember the Mighty Mighty Bosstones had drink coasters, although I don't think they actually sold them, they just gave them to whatever bar they were playing.

I heard that the miniature footballs that NRSV threw out in the crowd at the Superbowl of Hardcore had their logo on it but I'm not sure because I was too busy throwing them as well.

yeah but KISS sucks so they dont count

just take a look at the papers
your leaders
they\'re killers
they\'re liars
what they do in your
name to make the bodies pile higher
the murders, the terror
they\'ve done it forever
as we sit band and smile
at the script they sell us
but now the victims, they\'re rising
their numbers\'s multiplying
they want their revenge for the years
that they\'ve been dying
