BadVibes, how was the PPV last night? I just read the coverage of it at:
http://www.pwtorch.com/artman/publish/article_13565.shtml
It sounded awesome. I wish Shane Douglas wold have been there too. I'm off to Dallas in a few minutes but I'll come back and see what's up. Take it

i missed most of the matches. i had to work, got there for tanaka vs awesome. a little sloppy but a pretty good match. the dreamer/sandman vs dudleys
was pretty crazy, havent seen dreamer bleed that much in a long ass time. i liked all the heyman stuff and it was great to see tazz (even though a
match with him would have ruled). seemed like a lot of talking but understandable for such a nostalgic night. still would have been cool to have
more/longer matches. awesome to hear joey styles again too, best announcer ever. the bit i saw i enjoyed, gonna have to try to download it so i can
see the whole thing.

fire, but I?m just not close enough to get the job done.? George Carlin

i'm not much of a wrestling fan, but i just got an email from al spina about the ecw event in philly last week, and i thought i'd share it with the
rest of you. al and his brother vince, who posts here on occasions, were both in edgewise and both rabid wrestling fans.

ECW Hardcore Homecoming
Last Friday I went to ECW arena at Swanson & Rittner in South Philly for
Hardcore Homecoming - it was great - see the below link for results and some
clips. Two highlights:
* Barbed wire match between Sabu, Shane Douglas and Terry Funk. Ultra bloody
with Sabu taking some major bumps, bled from head, neck, chest and legs.
Surprise appearance by Cactus Jack who shoved barbed wire in Douglas' mouth
* Sandman (the wrestler, not the dish washer who Andy feared) - before the
match he comes out to "Enter Sandman" and smashes beer cans on his head and
is bloody before the match. He was right in front of me when he did this so
I was covered in Sandman's beer and some blood. I should be in the DVD when
it is released.
I rate the night in my top 10. Of course, in a few months, when I see Wit
get a blumpkin from Jack, that will probably crack the top 10 as well. If
you guys have not responded to the evite, get your lazy asses in there and
respond. Later.

after sending this out to a bunch of people, al was questioned by another friend of ours (and another former edgewise member) regarding the validity
of some wrestling-oriented rumors surrounding the spina brothers. i've decided to share these with you as well...

Al,
Did any of these events actually happen during your history as a wrestling fan?.... I have heard stories but I was never present at any of these Al
Spina moments:
1. Got spat on by Lex Luger - This was Bob Woodward. There was a battle royal and he kept calling Luger a Pu$*y. When Luger came out later to wrestle
his match, he spit a lugy on Woodward
2. Got yelled at by The Iron Sheik and Freddy Blassy after heckling them about getting arrested for weed possession on the New Jersey Turnpike. - It
was actually the Iron Sheik and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, but no, that never happened
3. Got maced at a wrestling event - Yes. There was a fight afterwards and I took mace in the eyes and was blinded for about 15 minutes
4. Got into a fight with a mentally handicapped person at a wrestling event - Bill and I ALMOST got into a fight with a mentally handicapped person.
Mostly Bill, though.
5. Gave a wrestler a wall clock to beat someone with (maybe that was Vince?) - That was Tommy Dreamer using the Ground Round pay based on the
temperature wall clock. He used it on Shane Douglas at the Downingtown Farmer's Market.
