depends how many are left afterward. we may use some as prizes or throw them in with larger thorp store orders.

HOT TOPIC is a funny store. It's great to see some highschool kids all talking about "THATS MY STORE" and hang out their with way tooo big black pants and slipnot shirt. I want to yell at them but then I remember how important trying to be different really felt when I was young. I'm just soo fucking glad bands like GBH, CIRCLE JERKS, the SMITHS, the ACCUSED, SICK OF IT ALL, MURPHYS LAW etc did something for me.

Sometimes Hot Topic is all kids have (besides the internet) to get more "underground" music. Ive bought a few cds there in my time, and when Im at a mall I usually stop in just to see what they've got. Some of the stuff in there makes me laugh, but they used to have some cool tshirts. At least they used to. I dont know anymore.

So yeah. Hot Topic was good until a friend told me about an independent record store in the area.

I got like 6 or 7 copies of the first War Music comp with various orders from the Thorp store. I then proceeded to hand them out to people to spread the gospel. Any chance in hell that this'll earn me a copy of no. 2. Seeing as I won't be anywhere near Hellfest.

I never got the first one and since there's no way in hell (haha) I'll be at Hellfest, I guess I'll never get this one either. It looks like a great comp, just going by the bands listed, of course since this is my taste I gotta mention that there's several tracks I'd be skipping over every time I played it (if I had a copy, that is). This is why I hate limited promo things for the most part, I mean, I realize that this is done to draw new people to the label(s), but I really like compilations and would appreciate being able to find this type of thing fairly easily.

Besides a few bands I really went to hellfest to hang out with people.

Also I am a huge pack rat and have one of the bags from the thorp table last year...I am a huge fucking nerd.

These won't be for sale in Hot Topic. You are thinking of the Hard Working Music compilation. These are free, free, free.

There will be other ways to get this other than Hellfest. Odds are that sometime this year, they'll be distributed with a very large magazine. They'll be shipping from Lumberjack-Mordam as well with store orders, so hopefully those stores set them out for people to grab. So if you have an indepedent record store that carries Thorp titles, make sure you check around August/September to see if there are any lying around.

I guess I got them mixed up because the hard working music comp I have has a picture of an army dude on the front.

sorry. can't keep track of everything in this joint. well, you could either...
- wait till we actually have these in our possession, order something from the thorp store, and you'll probably get one.
- post a wicked captivating thread and win the 'win free crap from thorp records' contest.

i dunno. remind me as it gets closer to hellfest time.
