AF on Thursday

Anyone from the Philly/nj area going to AF/Champion on Thursday? If so hit me up, be nice to actually meet people instead of sitting up top drinking by myself.

That show sucked. Worst turnout I've ever seen. Ecspacially for AF. That's just embarassing. AF was good though, that goes without saying.

i seriously considered going to that show, having always liked AF even through the shit years..but i got a chance to go away to the shore for free for a few days....once in a while something good happens to me...what do you guys think of the new AF disk? i only heard one song and it sounded like jasta had his cock in it big time...i mean the Somethings gotta give, and riot had a pretty punk sound and this sounded like hatebreed metalcore. i was going to order it , but you know...i get skeptical in my older years

one show i will make sure i attend is bad vibes on the 25th

i like the new disc...
but probably because i always liked the One Voice album alot.
this is more that style then punk/oi feel of the last couple of albums.

I like the new album, took a while to get into it though... at first I was like "What the fuck are they doing with this metalcore stuff?" and there was only maybe 2-3 good tracks on it, but they're my favourite band so I stuck with it and kept playing it on repeat for weeks before the gigs earlier this year and after a while I got into it and really like it now. It's not their best release but it ain't their worst either.

You can check out 4 tracks off the new album @

http://www.myspace.com/agnosticfront

the last one "Take me back" is the most old school sounding on the whole album so for me it's the best track.

I still love Agnostic Front, but this record depresses me. I always thought of One Voice as their absolute worst record, but what I've heard of this one makes One Voice sound decent. It seems like a shameless attempt to grab some of the shit all the new school metalcore bands are getting and the fact that a piece of shit like Jasta was involved only confirms that. Granted, if ANY band should be getting fat off of HC, it should be AF, but it's sadder than fuck to see a band that used to set the bar for HC go jump on the popular bandwagon. I realize that most if not all of the bands that are making bank off the term Hard Core nowadays were all influenced by Agnostic Front to some extent, but that's what makes it worse to me. How can you turn around and make a great band sound like every other piece of shit band that's popular without it looking like you're trying to cash in? It just pisses me off to no end. I went to that myspace page to listen to some of those new songs again, but that shit is beyond horrible.

I know what you're saying, it's what I thought at first too, but keep with it and maybe you'll get into it. I like some metal/thrash stuff as well so I guess that helps, if you're really just into punk/hardcore then maybe it'll never work for you.

One voice I think is their weakest album as well, but a lot of guys think it's their best!

It's not worth it to me to try to force or trick myself into liking it and it wouldn't work anyway, if I listen to something that bugs me over and over it just makes me wanna kill the people responsible for it and mad at myself for playing the fuckin' thing over and over. I've tried that before with bands that people recommended to me when I was trying to figure out what it was that they saw in the band. And on top of that, I fuckin' hate metalcore shit, so it's just not gonna happen anyway.

Hey at least you'll probably like the next album 'cause they've never relased 2 in a row which were the exact same style.

And they still play loads of the old shit live, especially now they have the 2nd guitar and are going back to the Cause for Alarm era stuff.

nah that second guitar is so stigma doesnt have to plug in
i read this book called american hardcore, and somewhere in there it was mentioned about stigma getting lazy in the years with 2 guitarists...but what do i care.....victim in pain still takes the cake, and somethings gotta give was also good in my opinion
any of you have the "raw unleashed" cd...it has 62 AF tracks on it all pre victim sessions and so on..allot of repeats, but it's pretty cool hearing how sloppy they once were...
