I was thinking about bands that have changed singers & if it was significant, if it got better, if it got worse, how many changes they made, etc. and

He is. That was years ago. He quit and joined Extreme Noise Terror and Phil Vane left ENT for ND. Then Barney went back to ND and Phil Vane went
back to ENT.

Faith No More- Chuck Mosley was replaced by Mike Patton.
Mike Patton is amazing. I'd say this was an upgrade.

Not sure about the whole Courtney Love thing. I thought it was before Chuck Mosely, but I have never heard anything recorded with her. I think she was
in the band for a very short time

I think Courtney Love was in a very early incarnation of Faith No More. But that's like saying I was the first bass player for Blood for Blood since I
used to jam with them before they took on the name.

the thing I read said that Faith No More had 10 singers from start to finish of the band. The only ones with recoreded material are Chuck Mosley &
Mike Patton. However it did say that of the other singers Courtney was in the band the longest.

pretty sure most people see this as a real band versus a bad cover band. not quite the same as just a vocalist change, even if that's the only
technical difference.

believe it or not that wasn't meant to be a slag on the Street Dogs. They aren't my favorite band but they always release 3 - 5 songs per record that
I like. and I really like "savin hill" a lot. what I meant is that "do or die" was such an amazing album and mike earned this legendary status by
walking out 2 months after it was released. about 1% of their fan base ever saw him live and he became larger than life.
it took balls for him to comeback because it made him human again. now he's just a singer in another punk rock band. I respect his decision to return
because he clearly enjoys it and its his life and he should do what makes him happy. but that's a lot of pressure to deliver greatness and "do or die"
was great because of 5 people: mike, ken, rick, matt and lars. so its impossible for him to recreate that and, unfortunately, one of the downsides of
being the frontman is that the public holds the lead singer responsible. that was an asset to him in retirement but its a liability in a comeback. "do
or die" sold about 300K copies. everyone knows who he is. I'd guess all street dogs cd's combined have sold 40K... so that looks like a commercial
failure.
I guess I'm saying that I would have walked out and stayed out if I were in his shoes. like I said, he has balls. and he's a braver man than I'd ever
be.

I think Mike McColgtan coming back definitely got Street Dogs some attention when they were coming out, but they don't try to recreate or even sound
like Dropkick's. I like Street Dogs but none of their stuff or any Dropkicks stuff comes close to Do or Die.
Well I've got a feeling I'm gonna get mine in. Retribution let the games begin.

In that perspective I totally get what you mean. I'm lucky enough to have seen DKM in Boston with Mike singing and will never forget that show. I
wouldn't want to have to live up to Do or Die because it's a fucking classic that DKM will never top. I love the stuff with Al (BRUISERS FOREVER!!!)
but Do or Die is still my favorite all these years later.
