did any of you get....

...that NSK / Stampin' Ground split we put out, "Allied Forces"?

Stampin' Ground's cover of AF's United Blood is fucking great.
I musta listened to it 10 times in a row in the car this weekend.

I got it

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

I passed on that one, mostly because I think SG sucks.

i really like stampin ground's sound. i listen to the full length we did somewhat regularly, but like juan, hadn't listened to the split in years. their judge cover is great, too.

After being reminded of the Ring forum in that thread about Bastard Lovechild that just popped back up, I really think this is one of the prizes I got from winning that. I loved the NSK tracks on it, but can't make it through the Stampin' Ground stuff and think their covers on there butcher the originals.
