Downloading question

Since I decided to rebuild my music collection by downloading instead of burning all the cd's I discovered I have a monthly downloading limit. Is this normal, or just something my carrier does? I apparently have a 60GB monthly limit, but got a notice saying it's going to 25GB in March.

i never got a notice like this, but i don't download nearly as much as 25GB in a month's time.
I think a guy at work has gotten letters.

ISPs have recently started imposing limits because people are DLing more and more these days. even if it's not pirated (like streaming netflix and itunes), media takes a big pipe to deliver.

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

Welcome to the way it's been in Australia for a long time :) It's been a long time coming for North America. They tried p2p throttling and it backfired, they won't upgrade the networks, so now you'll get quota's instead.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.
