I have a 4 hour interview tomorrow...
...and we are supposed to get nailed with snow tonight. Getting nailed with snow here is 4 to 6 inches mind you. It is nothing.
I'm pretty pumped. I love my current job (Personal Trainer and Fitness "consultant" to companies) but the money has not been there and isn't coming
any time soon. We are due with a baby girl on June 28th. I need to get a new car and a new roof on my house. Oh, I'm still being sued by some
friends for my dog biting their daughter.
Coincidentally a guy who used to work for me (who I actually fired because of budgeting reasons- not my call) called me a short while ago and said,
"Hey, we have an opening in our recruiting department of an extremely successful and stable organization. Any interest? Great pay, amazing benefits
and there is a huge need for sales and marketing talent here and you would handle/manage all of the recruiting for that function."
I said yes I would be interested. So there seems to be a good chance I'm headed to corporate world. I do miss the salary, hustle, stability and
benefits. So we'll see how it shakes out. I'm stoked. We'll give it our best.

4 hours? holy shit.
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Good luck brother. Everything works out. Just wish I could find a job much sooner than later.

It went great today. My man on the inside just sent me a text that all feedback he has heard has been positive.
The opp is not "posted" internally yet and they are not scheduled to meet anyone else. All signs are good and I'll know more hopefully by Friday.
Thanks for all the greatness in this thread peeps. Really means a lot.

Just got some good news. My (hopefully) soon-to-be boss just called me. She is working on my official offer and is trying to get it squared away by
tomorrow afternoon. We talked money and we both had the same figure in mind which was quite a relief. So I verbally agreed to accept the offer if
the money is met. Not official yet but we are close.
I'm bummed my fitness venture didn't workout and my current "boss" is a good friend. I know he'll be cool with things but it is still never easy.
Mrs. R83 is very excited for this offer to come as am I. Thanks for all the good wishes everyone. You all rule

this seems like it's the right thing to do.
you gave the fitness gig and self employment a fair shot, so i'm sure dude will understand.

Where's the cake or fireworks smilie in times like this!
Well done my good man!
Living a life kept shut by a dream,
I'm reaching out to grasp my reality.
Hands of time wrap tight around my neck, and hit me so hard,
leaving me eyes black.
staring at a ceiling,
wondering why i never left,
penning words in a notebook,
wondering why haven't slept.
sanity is tapping in a cell
inside my fucking head.
begging for redemption
after hearing what was said.
the nights, they will not sleep
cause the days, have played for keeps.
