so stoked for this album...the tracks I've heard sound like a slicker mix of old HoF mixed with a hair more Motorhead than before. people will bug out
because it's too clean, but most people shouldn't have opinions.
"'Snakes for the Divine' tells a tale of the atmospheric union of alien crossbreeding with Man's DNA and the creation of all Earth's religion by the
reptilian agenda"
and...don't bother trying to DL it early a week ago some douchebag started sharing a version of it that's actually Matt Pikes side band from a couple
years back Kalas with the tracks renamed. It spread across soulseek and now every blogspot has the wrong album up.
it's kind of amusing, because now there's no way to get the real album for quite a while unless you buy it or DL it because you won't know what
version you're going to get from blogspots till after the DL is done and you can open it.
probably done by the rec company...pretty smart if so. maybe that's just me and my tin foil hat again.
I'm embarassed to say that I'm not familiar with this band, but that record cover is amazing!

Their guitarist Matt Pike used to be in Sleep who are pretty much stoner rock/doom metal legends.
In the late 90's he formed High on Fire, they're a 3 piece band that basically sound like 10 Tony Iommi's playing through one blown out amp doing 5-8
minute long Motorhead covers. Over the years their production has gotten a little cleaner and less crusty sounding but they're still playing
monstrously heavy songs that go from plodding slow doom style riffs to four horseman of the apocalypse style gallops.
I wasn't super crazy about their last album as it just seemed kind of sterile...but this seems like it took the bigger cleaner production of that and
mixed it with some of the older songs.
