A question for sports fans
Why is it bad for a team to beat opponents by an exceptional number of points. I've been reading about the Canadian womens hockey team being
criticized for demolishing the team from Slovakia 18-0. I also heard the same kind of critcism for a team a few months back in the U.S., I don't
recall which sport, but it may have been football. Why is it bad sportsmanship to keep running up the score? Isn't the point of the game to win?

Because people are fucking pussies. Honestly, as long as the team is playing fair, who gives a shit?
We are supposed to have sympathy for everyone if they aren't as talented as us. I say fuck 'em. That's their shit to deal with not mine.
My hockey team got bumped up to the "A" league this year. We are getting smoked. We've lost 14-3 some nights. Doesn't bother me. If I were the
other team, I would not take me foot of the gas ever. That is the point of the game. Play fair, play hard and score goals.

People against running up the score are against it because it is considered disrepectful to your opponent. But not playing hard would be a bigger
disrespect to your opponent so I don't believe in not scoring points. But it may be overkill if you are winning 49 -0 and throw for the endzone at the
end of the game, or run trick plays and things like that.
Well I've got a feeling I'm gonna get mine in. Retribution let the games begin.

Na, I think it has to do with the teams being played and the cities they are in. Like Seattle Mariners getting whooped on is bad for Seattle since
they already have terrible attendance issues as it is. Same with Cleveland since they are considered a "small market". If they suck too bad then no
one goes to the games and revenue is lost. Now football is the same issue but the NFL as a whole is a solid business. Teams are pretty much across the
board and all owners are compensated somewhat if they own a weaker/small market team.
WIth the Olympics I have no clue
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

maybe I can understand in Little League.
I got loads of shit when i was the 3rd base coach and was waving kids home with a 18 run lead....what can I say ....we were good in 2007...
whatever.
i thoroughly enjoyed watching the Phiillies squash the Reds last summer like 22-1 with my son there with me.
I agree it's even more disprespectful to pull your lead guys and put your 3rd string in at that poing to or to just play half assed.
it's not t ball for chrisakes

I guess some of its empathy, people don't like to see loser's lose so badly because they would'nt like to be in that position them selfs.
Take the arsehole at the bar who starts a fight and gets his arse handed to him! They always get somebody stepping in asking them are they ok.
Living a life kept shut by a dream,
I'm reaching out to grasp my reality.
Hands of time wrap tight around my neck, and hit me so hard,
leaving me eyes black.
staring at a ceiling,
wondering why i never left,
penning words in a notebook,
wondering why haven't slept.
sanity is tapping in a cell
inside my fucking head.
begging for redemption
after hearing what was said.
the nights, they will not sleep
cause the days, have played for keeps.
