What sad news. This guy was totally awesome. He gave a lot of column space to us Boston bands in the 90's and I'm confident to say that he was
instrumental in matching Boston up with San Francisco and that was the key to making Dropkick Murphys huge and giving us all some great years because
of it. Plus he was an all around gentleman in person. What was his wife's name? Katcha? I wonder if they were still together........
I haven't thought of him in years. Picked up an issue of MRR a few years ago and saw he was still at it and smiled but that was about it. He was 60
years old and still liked his punk rock loud and fast. He was a lifer!

i would see bruce like once a years for the past bunch of years
usually at antiseen or limecell shows
he would travel across the country for shows he wanted to see
was one of the only people in max. r and r to wrote about anything i cared about
clayton texted me this morning to let me know

He was the best part of that magazine for many, many years and often the only worth while part of it. I can't even count the number of great bands I
checked out based on his recommendation in MRR. This is sad news indeed.
