Scanning a document and resizing it to make it smaller to send a file?
How do I do this? It has been over 2 days and I still have not found this out. I am trying to send this document for a job application and every time
I try and send it it says its too big.
This help is greatly appreciated.

Clearly, you've wasted two days by not asking here first.
What exactly is it? A scan of a document?
What are the physical dimensions of the doc, 8x10?
Is it something that needs to be print quality, or just something that can be read on screen?
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

It's my Police Academy Certificate and my College transcripts. I am not sure if they need them printed off or what. I wish I could ask, but I can't.
All I know is my resume worked, but both the items I scanned form my printer did not.

Try saving them as a GIF file since they are smaller in size.

If you're not familiar with image editing software, I'd suggest rescanning the documents. When you launch the scanning software, adjust the
resolution down to 100dpi - it probably defaults to 300dpi. That alone will give you a much smaller file.
Next, save and name each of the files accordingly into a folder. Find that folder in your finder, hold down the control button and click. Select
the "Compress 'foldername'" option. That will create a single, compressed zip file of all your scanned images.

Would the resolution be on the computer or on my printer? I the second part of what you listed and that worked. I will try and add this to the
application if I can. I'll check back in a bit for the resolution issue. Thanks for all your help.

The option to change the resolution at which the docs are scanned is in your scanning software.
