Car question...
I start my car in park or neutral and it runs fine, as soon as I put it in reverse or drive it stalls out. If I rev while in neutral and drop into
drive I can get it to drive but then it stalls out as I come to a stop.
Any ideas what it could be?

overall it could probably stand a tune up: new plugs, rotor, distributer cap, fuel filter, air filter.
i have had this issue with a few cars back in the day.
all chevys and pontiacs.
there's also something called an idle control sensor that can cause this when it goes afoul.
but I would at least do a basic tune up, and some STP fuel treatment, maybe fuel injector cleaner too.
all that should come cheap, and if you get a spark plug gapper, you can do it all yourself for under $75 with a philips head screwdriver and a basic
ratchet set.

It was the fuel filter. Just got done putting in the new one. I can swap parts if I know what is wrong but I am beyond clueless when it comes to
diagnosing a problem.
Should I get any aditives or anything for my car?

never hurts to run some fuel injector cleaner thru it.
now that i think of it, replacing the fuel filter did the trick when i had that problem in one of my cars.
ha yeah the fuel filter can be either along the frame rails underneath or on the firewall under the hood.

Yeah, it was hiding in the wheel well area of the rear drivers side tire.

No problem. It is not easy to diagnose car problems just from a text description i'm sure...
