SO WHAT: I always associated Minor Threat and Ian MacKaye and those guys with straight edge punk. That's what they were all about.
James: Absolutely. There's some hardcore people that are straight edge from birth. So this was my take on the straight edge X, you know? Straight
razors. A straight edge, is what that was all about.

It's funny how he says "I'm not a true straight edge" I guess I'd fall into that "category" but that's not really what straight edge has ever been

I was straight edge this morning for 6 minutes.
from the time i got out of bed until i had my first coffee and hand full of advils.
