Awww...... that's shitty, got to be tough watching your kids go through that.

I probably told this story here before, but when I lost my first cat I was 16, I went to work later that day and wound up having to run out of there bawling my eyes out. I've had my cat now 15 years, that bitch best out live me.

BD, we cremated our dog at Angell Memorial Hospital (where my gf works). I am sure there are hospitals that do similar.

I feel bad for the kids. I had to put down our family cat when I was in my early-mid 20's and I was messed up for a long time afterward. I would think it would be harder when it happens for kids.

this is the primary reason why i don't want pets.
love animals. just don't want a pet.
our six year old has a fish.
that's as far as i'll go.

I am truly sorry for your loss...I've dealt with pet's deaths many times, and it friggin' hurts...I could only imagine what it's like to relate that to a child...Hell,I'm a child when it comes to that!

Will learn to Tap Dance,eventually...Will have you broads Hula,definitely...Trust me,you'll see.

Geoff,
If you happen to want another cat for the kids, I know of a person who I think has 2 they are looking to give away. I'd have to ask my girl, but she mentioned it the other day.

It took me a few years to get another cat after losing the first one. Now I hope my cats outlive me because I don't want to go through that loss again.

sorry to hear this, I remember as a kid the only time I would ever cry was when we lost a pet, I couldn't even fake tears when my grandpa died. Had to put down my dog this year after he started losing it & getting unpredictably aggressive, first time I'd cried in years.
