The soft rock station I work at...

Just played Dropkick Murphys...

Weird. I mean it was only "Shipping off to Boston" but all they play is Train, Adam Lambert, Cheryl Crow, Jason Mraz, ets, etc, etc.

They are doing some "Movie music weekend" and I guess that was used in The Departed.

VERY weird and random.

You should see if you can sneak in something from the Suburbia soundtrack like "Richard Hung Himself".

I got in trouble once for playing the original "That's When I Reach for My Revolver" by Mision of Burma instead of the Moby version. Wierd, 'cause we billed ourselves as the big free-form station in Boston.

I occasionally do shows at our local college radio, & we can play ANYTHING after 10PM, it's great. Our station manager actually enjoys hearing a DJ blast GG Allin or Mentors, as long as it's after 10

I do a show from midnight-2AM, and I handle PR at the station. We can play whatever, whenever, are just supposed to stay FCC compliant. Which I always fail at. I have a blast doing the show though.

I don't think anyone ever listens, except when I get good records before their out. I got a random call from Dicky Barrett the night I did the new Bosstones record before it was released, it was awesome. I wasn't expecting it at all, and did an awesome interview-then he called Joe Gittleman and had Joe call me. Easily the best moment I've ever had doing the show, except for when I interviewed Colin from Cock Sparrer.

Me & Brian did a radio show for 8 years, on our College FM Station. It was a blast.

On the eight year plan, huh? Nice.
